Intel is an American multinational corporation and technology company. As the leading manufacturer of semiconductors, Intel is the dominant supplier of microprocessors for PCs, the cooperated computer system manufacturers include ASUS, Lenovo, HP, and Dell.
Intel offers FPGAs, SoC, CPLD, and power solutions to provide high-value solutions to customers worldwide.
In August 2020, Intel acquired Infineon’s wireless solutions business and plans to integrate the wireless modem into its silicon chips. Its laptops, smartphones, tablets, and embedded computers in consumer products will also use Infineon’s technology.
The largest acquisition in June 2015 is to purchase of Altera, an FPGA design company.
